How it Works

Hawaiʻi Farm-to-Car is an easy-to-use virtual farmer’s market with weekly curbside pickup. Customers are able to shop available products from participating vendors from all over Hawaiʻi Island. The online market is open from 10:00am on Friday until 6:00pm on Monday each week. Pick-Up Directions

When you enter the Puna Hongwanji parking lot on Wednesday, please follow the signage and stay in your car. We will bring your order to you or provide you with additional instructions.

We kindly ask that you do not arrive earlier than 3:00pm, or you may be directed to back into a parking space until we open. Our busiest time is 3:00pm, so if you plan to come right when we open, be aware that you may have to wait in line.

We will continue to follow a few COVID-19 sanitation procedures at our distribution site in an ongoing effort to keep everyone safe. When you pick up your order, please stay in your vehicle unless directed otherwise.

The Fine Print

A $2 market fee will is added to each order to cover operating costs. There is a $20 minimum for all orders. All credit cards will be charged on Monday evenings after the market closes. Charges will show up on your card statement as Hoʻōla Veterans Services, our parent organization.

If an emergency arises and you can’t pick up your order on Wednesday, a $10 late fee will be charged for alternative pickup arrangements.

While our farmers strive to bring you the cleanest produce possible, you should exercise caution and wash all produce thoroughly before consuming.

Just like us, farm fresh produce is individually unique. What you receive may not exactly match what is pictured.

Shop with SNAP

On the left side of the shopping page, click ‘Attributes,’ then ‘SNAP Eligible’ to see qualified products

Once you’ve filled your cart, make sure to CONFIRM your order. You will be asked to enter a valid credit card for any NON-SNAP items in your order and/or the $2 pick-up fee, which will be charged on Monday night.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Remember to select your ‘Preferred Payment Method’ as SNAP/EBT at checkout EACH AND EVERY WEEK to reflect how you intend to pay for your SNAP-Eligible items. If you DO NOT select SNAP/EBT, your credit card on file will be charged on Monday and we will not be able to use your SNAP card during pickup on Wednesday. Click here to see an example.

Don’t forget to bring your SNAP card with you to pick up your order! We’ll run your card on site and you’ll need to enter your PIN to complete the transaction.

*If you place an order but do not come to pick it up or make other arrangements, your credit card on file will be charged.

Sell with Us

If you grow produce or make value-added agricultural products on Hawaiʻi Island, we’d LOVE to have you as one of our vendors!

Here’s how it works: You’ll upload your list of available products and pricing to our online marketplace every Thursday. You’ll get a pick list for all of your orders on Monday afternoon and will need to drop off your items to the Puna Hongwanji in Keaʻau between 10:00-11:00am on Wednesdays.

Vendors are not required to list or sell every week. Payments for products sold are distributed every two weeks. All producers must provide a valid Hawaii GET tax license. Value-added producers must provide proof that their products are prepared in a certified kitchen and labelled accordingly.

If you’d like to participate, please click the link below, fill out our form, and we’ll get in touch with you. If you know any other farmers who might like to join us, please forward them this link. Also, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram or Facebook!
